Dental Assistants help with dental procedures, work on administrative tasks and contribute to the care and support of patients. They play an important part in patient comfort, satisfaction, and education on dental treatments and procedures.

Duties to include:

  • Assists at chair side
  • Delivers "WOW!" experience to patients and guardians
  • Delivers high quality oral hygiene instruction
  • Takes X-rays (digital sensor/nomad portable X-ray) / intra-oral photographs
  • Applies topical fluoride treatments
  • Takes impressions and bite registrations
  • Applies pit and fissure sealants
  • Adaptation of temporary crowns
  • Places topical medications
  • Removes excess cement from fabricated restorations and orthodontic bands
  • Pours impressions to make stone and plaster models
  • Trims models
  • Fabricates mouth guards, temporary crowns, custom impression trays.
  • Prepares casting models and dies
  • Fabricates orthodontic retainers and other appliances
  • Manages the dental office infection control plan to meet OSHA, CDC and standards.
  • Handles instrument cleaning, sterilization/disinfection and re-circulation
  • Performs dental treatment room disinfection
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Ortho experience preferred
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Current dental assisting license in the state of Texas
  • Able to work weekends
  • Valid and current BLS certificate

  • Laredo, TX 78045: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Registered Dental Assistant (Must be able to obtain within 3 months of hire)
  • BLS Certification (Required)

Work Location: One location

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $12.50 per hour
